RTTE CERTIFICATION
CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT
RTTE
Certification
As a Notified
Body under the RTTE Directive (1999/5/EC) as well as the EMC Directive
(89/336/EEC), Nemko Comlab offers conformity assessment services to meet
the needs of manufacturers or their representatives within the European
Economic Area (EEA).
We assist
our clients through the conformity assessment procedure, minimising the
time and effort invested to fulfil the requirements for CE marking. Nemko
Comlab can give you an opinion on your Technical Construction File (TCF)
and issue a Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
CE marking
CE marking
shall be affixed to all kinds of radio and telecommunications terminal
equipment. This marking implies that a product fulfils the essential requirements
laid down in all applicable EU directives, mainly the RTTE Directive.
A CE marked product has the benefit of free circulation within the EU
and EEA.
When a product
is CE marked, manufacturers or their representatives within the EEA shall
be able to demonstrate that their products are fully compliant. They are
obliged to issue a written declaration of conformity and compile proper
documentation such as equipment description, drawings and diagrams, reference
to standards applied, test reports, etc.
Various procedures for conformity assessment
The regulatory
scheme of the RTTE Directive introduces various methods of conformity
assessment. Nemko Comlab as a Notified Body can give advice on the tests
to be carried out and can give an evaluation of your Technical Construction
File (TCF). Conformity assessment can be based on a self declaration scheme
or a fully approved quality system.

The Notified
Body Identifier number 0470 is the property of Nemko and may only be used
with permission.
